Christmas and so much more. . .

Just a little glimpse of Christmas around here.  It really is the most wonderful time of the year.

So, to begin with, What’s Christmas without the annual children’s Christmas pageant?

Even William helped out.

The decorations…

First, our “fun” tree with all the kids’ ornaments and some passed down through the generations.

Of course, the mantel… (I made the wreath if I do say so myself)

Then you gotta have a “fancy” tree…

And I must show off the wreath I made this year for the dining room

To top it all off, we got SNOW!!!

Nothing, However, compares to having Boobee home for the holidays.  We are so thankful for and proud of the man he is becoming.

So–just have one church dinner and all the social stuff will be done.  Then, David, Michelle, and Devon will be here!  We’re looking forward to spending time with them.  Before you know it, it’ll all be over and you’ll be promising yourself that next year you’ll really make time for the little things at Christmas.  Still gotta make more cookies and maybe a few pumpkin rolls.  Let’s see…I’ve had 2 or 3 baking sessions making chocolate crinkles, ginger molasses cookies, butter thins, chocolate chip cookies, and pumpkin rolls.  It is not a good idea to spend your day snacking on cookie dough, then of course, having the actual cookies around as well…

Well–I’ll leave you with our 2009 Christmas card picture… drum roll, please…

Ignore the dog toys in the background…
